Who we are

A community-based ecotourism venture

San José de Uchupiamonas is a Tacana-Quechua community whose land, the TCO Uchupiamonas, lies inside Madidi National Park. Madidi Jungle is run by four of its families, with a team that is entirely Uchupiamonas and Tacana: guides, cooks, boatmen, lodge staff and the office in Rurrenabaque.

Everyone who provides a service is paid fairly, and the lodge supports the conservation of our community land and of Madidi National Park. It is how our families improve their living conditions while protecting the biodiversity around them.
